Overview

Ilseon is a minimalist executive-function assistant designed to reduce mental noise and help users focus on one thing at a time. The tool was created to address the common challenges of time blindness, task paralysis, and the overwhelm often associated with traditional productivity apps.

Many existing to-do applications can be counterproductive, with endless lists, constant switching, and feature bloat contributing to distraction. Ilseon was developed as a quiet, predictable alternative, designed to filter the user’s attention down to a single, clear point of action.

Key Features:

Context Filtering

You define your main life roles: Work, Family, Health, Projects. When you switch to a context, everything else disappears. No giant master list messing with your attention.

Protected Focus Blocks

Set a focus block (e.g. 45 or 60 minutes) and Ilseon gives you a clean circular countdown timer. It externalises the passage of time, helping counter time blindness.

Low-Sensory Reminders

Notifications use soft vibration patterns and quiet tones instead of sharp alarms, designed to support focus without causing anxiety.

Idea Inbox

Captures “non-task” mental clutter, such as fleeting ideas, random thoughts, or things to look up later. This separate inbox allows you to clear your mind without disrupting your current focus. Ideas can be converted into actionable tasks with a long-press action.

Reflection Loop

When you complete a task, Ilseon asks a simple question: “How did that go?”
This builds a habit of reflection and helps you understand your own focus patterns over time.

Quick Capture

Add a task or note in a couple of seconds through a floating capture button, ideal for getting thoughts out of your head before they disappear. It has configurable Bluetooth support for automatic speech-to-text; STT can also be activated by a microphone icon.

Flexible Scheduling

Focus blocks can repeat on specific days and fit into different contexts (e.g. Work on weekdays, Health on Monday/Wednesday/Friday).

Low-Sensory Design

Default dark mode, clean typography, and minimal visual elements keep the interface calm and predictable.
